Administrative HistoryMr A E Roberts of Rolls Royce Ltd founded the society in October 1946. It provided a variety of activities including recitals, musical events, drama productions, and art exhibitions, especially of local talent, for the inhabitants of Crewe and the surrounding area. The collection contains information about their programmes of events during their season which ran from September to May, and also about their administrative business. The Society was dissolved in May 1991 after a significant decline in membership and funds, and their records then came to Cheshire CRO.
